The winds off our shores are powerful. And, with wind turbine blades reaching almost as high in the sky as Boston’s tallest buildings, the technology is powerful, too. Offshore wind power offers the prospect of substantial, and much-needed, clean energy for states in the Northeast and beyond, and the vision, a long time in coming, looks set to be realized. Where does offshore wind technology stand? How are state and federal policies helping (or hurting)? What’s the future of American offshore wind power?
Speaker. John Rogers is a senior analyst in the Climate and Energy program of the Union of Concerned Scientists, with almost three decades of expertise in clean energy technologies and policies.
